A Hare Raising Experience is an exceptionally commercial, story-driven comedy routine created by master gospel illusionist and family entertainer Duane Laflin. Designed specifically for platform, parlor, and stage performances, this routine breathes new life into the classic "Look, Don't See" children's magic trope.
The routine uses high-quality, oversized, vibrant display boards featuring a beautifully illustrated rabbit ("hare") character. Rather than relying on intricate sleight of hand, the illusion is completely driven by a clever, mechanical sliding prop matrix. This allows the performer to step away from complex technical handling and focus 100% of their energy on situation comedy, vocal pacing, and audience management.
